About Me

I'm a 23 year old soon-to-be Air Force wife, living life in the suburbs of beautiful Arizona. I have two wonderful parents and one awesome, older sister. I've been a military brat all my life, moving from base to base. Having both parents in the military, life was sometimes difficult. Mom would get stationed here, Dad would get stationed there. Therefore, we (me and seeestar) spent a lot of our childhood with family members in Arizona or Missouri, going to school and being taken care of until our parents could finally rejoin us when they returned. Our relatives are all wonderful and loving, but I'm so thankful that I had my sister by my side growing up. Someone I could talk to, cry with, and just lean on for support :) So sister...if you're reading this, thanks

Fast forward so many years. After my parents both retired from the military, we settled into a suburb of Phoenix, AZ. It's nice because a lot of family from both my mom and dad's side live throughout areas of Phoenix/Tucson. I enjoy the things Phoenix has to offer. It's not much, but if you're feeling bored, just hop in the car and cali/vegas is 6 hours west or if you're craving that margarita, Mexico is just south of us! It's no New York or California, but Arizona is home, and I wouldn't have it any other way :)
I currently work as a Licensed Practical Nurse at a SNF. I've been at it for 3+ years now and I love what I do. Unfortunately, there are those ugly rumors floating around that LPNs will eventually be rid of in the healthcare field. So in order to climb that corporate ladder, I decided to go back to college to get my AAS in Nursing (Registered Nursing). So although it's a bit stressful, I'm glad to be back in school and pursuing my degree :)

Back in 2010. Nurse Appreciation Week!

When I'm not at school, work, or on the computer, I'm either:
a) baking up a storm
b) trying my hand at photgraphy
c) playing with makeup
d) getting crafty with scrapbooking

Nursing school keeps me busy, but I still try to take time out for me. Hobbies are a great thing to have, and luckily, I have a few of them!

It's the little things in life that keep me grounded :)
